Did some test footage on the Canon 5d Mark II shooting on RAW format with Magic Lantern. I also built a DIY slider, but still have a bit of tweaks to do to get the footage smoother.
The cool thing about 3d renders of product bottles, packs and any other type of products is that it can be altered at any time with ease. Say 2 years down the line, client wants another angle of the same bottle, then it’s a much easier change than when it’s photographed. With photography, lights need to be matched and set up again, which you’ll never get exact. 3d on the other hand has the lighting set up already and when the change gets done, then everything is easy and with exact.
